How to order

Accounts

  1.  Orimono Imports is a wholesale distributor.  We sell only to licensed/registered businesses, not the general public.  Retail sales of our products may be approached through any of our Stockists

  2. In order to establish an account, we require a sales tax registration certificate/reseller’s license.   Email us at sales@orimonoimports.com to receive an account application.

  3. Minimum order to establish a wholesale account is $500.  This may be any combination of notions/sashiko and fabrics.  If fabric is being ordered, minimum initial quantity is 5 bolts.

Ordering

  1.  Orders can be placed through a Sales Rep, or via email and may include any combination of sashiko, notions, and/or fabric, provided minimums are met.

  2. For wholesale pricing information, please request appropriate pricing documents after establishing a wholesale account.

  3. Most of our sashiko supplies and popular notions are regularly stocked locally.  Orders for these items can be filled within 1-2 weeks.  When a notion is temporarily out of stock, it can take up to 8 weeks for refill orders to come from Japan.  You will be notified within a week of placing a sashiko/notions order regarding the approximate timing of order fulfillment.

  4. Most of our fabrics are special orders.  The bolts you select will be reserved and shipped from Japan especially for you.  At the time of ordering a fabric, you will be told the approximate shipping date--which can be 3 to 6 months away, depending on the current fabric order window.  Fabric orders are subject to timeframes and delays beyond our control, although we try to communicate to you when we know of any significant change in delivery dates.

  5. We do not request payment until an order is ready to ship.  Payment requests will include freight costs, which are the responsibility of the ordering entity. Orders are packaged and shipped from our California warehouse.
